Updates // Still Here

I always do this. I always get too busy. Too busy for everything, when in all reality I'm not that busy at all. I just need to learn to make time. Time to see the sunrise and sunset. Time to smell my freshly bathed toddlers hair. Time to feel his breathes on me as he falls asleep. Time to be there in the now instead of just going through the motions. The motions aren't enjoyable. The being there is.

Here are just a few bits and pieces of my thoughtful brain on this lovely wednesday night, hopefully your amused:

I've started working again, so that has affected our family routine and definitely has been an adjustment, but we have been pretty conquering. Alex has been doing super well with it and it makes me so happy because I was so concerned that it was going to be such a battle. I'm grateful it's not. Also, with that, I'm going to be starting school this fall and I have finally decided what I want to do with the monetary side of my life and I am happy and satisfied with my choice. I want to become a graphic designer so I start my two year program for my bachelor's degree this fall! Woop!

We have started potty learning, where we do it when he wakes up from nights and nap and try to see if he will use it during the day. I've been really proud of him and just trying to not push it. So, I started using pull-ups instead of cloth diapers and I think I may buy a box of regular diapers as well and just go back to that because for the business of our lives, it works easier for our family. Thankfully, my loving husband supports whatever wild decision I make. So, go cody! Also, Alexander is almost 18 months old (what? seriously guys) and he is just the most spunky creature ever. Lately I've been just taking pictures with my phone, but I'm going to start trying to take out my camera more and take more photos of my sweet love and capture him. He is just a ball of everything lovely and I love him with all my heart. He is growing into such a sweet and special young boy.

Life According to Instagram

1. I'm handing down some of my stuffed animals and blankets to Alexander. // 2. Selfie, of course. That was before a dinner with a really good friend of mine. // 3. My fake flowers in the window. I really love having flowers, but I hate how quickly they die, so I've been trying to find different types of flowers that work for us. // 4. Alexander's part of the room. That's what I see when I'm laying in bed, so it's from my perspective. I really can't wait for his arrival, but first my baby shower is next weekend (: // 5. 32 weeks photo. I've been growing very tired lately, I do not enjoy it. // 6. Tired face and messy hair do.

This past week has been a long week. One filled with good food and a very lazy me. As the third trimester keeps trucking on I've noticed that I have become more and more tired and I just can't stand it. I really wish I wasn't this tired, because I know in the next few weeks I will of tons of baby stuff to organize and get ready for the little one. Hopefully this week I can work on getting some of my energy back.

Also, the blog turns one this week! Happy Birthday Sincerely Me, Always! It's definitely been through some changes, and I would say for the better (:

A New Goal

My new goal is to figure out how to work my camera in low light settings. At some point during the day, the natural light goes away and some of the most magical moments happen in low light. I'm not a fan of flash, I don't like how it takes away from the natural light of a photo, so I want to figure out how to use the minimal amount of light without a long shutter speed and making it blurry.
i want to be able to capture my fast moving animals or my son when he starts to move around more (they aren't newborns forever, ya know). I'm not an expert on my camera, at all. I haven't sat down with it long enough to learn everything there is to know about it. So, I decided that I'm going to start. Starting with the low light settings. Once, I figure it out, I will share some photos with you about it. Anything your working on with your camera?

Spring Break in Photos: Fort Walton Beach Style

This photo was taken before we left, while I got distracted packing and was fiddling with my camera. Sometimes, some of the best captured moments come from those times.
 Just because I love food.
They have the best dog park in Destin (literally over the bridge from Fort Walton Beach). It's huge, the grass is extremely green and it was perfect. She enjoyed herself a little too much and was exhausted the rest of the day. I love it when she is all sleepy, that's when she likes to snuggle.

I got these for Christmas, customized by my lovely. I absolutely love these shoes, on the back it says "CYA" and they are extremely comfortable. I really want to start growing my collection of running shoes.

I pretty much lounged around in athletic clothes because I could never decide if I wanted to work out or not. The struggle.
I adore this plant and want one of my own. They rarely ever need to be water (so I wont kill it) and they can grow into huge bushes, or not.
My touch to Cody's mom's home. I love this flower, it was splendidly gorgeous.

I hope everyone had a fun and safe spring break (and if you are just starting it, continue to be safe)!
