After 5 days, well on the 6th day of this new year I have finally decided on what I want to do for my personal 365 day a year goal (not including health and #mileadays). I've decided to challenge myself in the area of learning. I feel like since I haven't been in school as much, I need to learn more. So I will be learning something a day. I will update you on what I'm learning either daily, weekly or monthly. I haven't really decided yet. I feel sharing this on the internet I will keep myself more accountable.
Ok, I'm off to do some more planning!
Have a good week this next week!

Turkey Alfredo and Pasta
I actually cooked dinner for the first time since Christmas, so it is also the first time for the New Year. It wasn't hard, and I used what we had at home and made us all food.
Basically, our house always has someone over. And currently my other half's brother lives with us; and our friend always comes over and stays for about a week at a time.
I used 3 different types of pasta: linguini, bow-tie and shells
4 cans of ragu Alfredo sauce (I bought what was buy one get one free at Publix)
1.5 pounds of turkey meat
Oregano and Garlic Salt
I couldn't fit it all in the pot I had, so I ended up using the one I cooked the meat in.
It was super simple to make and tasted really good. At least, I think it was by the empty pots and pans and plates. It's the perfect 30 min meal. And you can obviously make it healthy by adding turkey meat, wheat pasta and even a healthier sauce.

Experimenting
Did I tell you I was excited for this new year already? Probably. There is so much promise and learning and possibilities, especially if you keep your mind open.
I'm starting a few days late, so I have to make up for it, but I am doing a #mileaday challenge for this new year, on top of a weight loss goal (that I will be very happy if I meet). I'll tell you what I am doing for that another time.
I want to get to going somewhere with my photography and my writing (actually, I got a job writing as a ghost writer for a book. I'm so excited).
So, coming soon there will be a lot of experimenting and learning. I just got two new cameras. One is a Nikon D40 and the other is a Minolta x-700 35mm SLR that I got with 3 different lenses and some other fun accessories. I also have the Sony nex-7, which is my favorite to bring around most of the time. And then, I have my phone, which is useful for spur of the moment photos, especially when I don't have my cameras.
And a goal with that would be taking more photos of our home and our life in general. I feel like I have been slacking and not capturing our lives more. So, that would be a major goal.
I recommend writing down goals, don't be to vague or too specific, but make sure you are getting what you want to accomplish out of it. Good luck on your new goals and resolutions for the year!

It's a New Year
It's 2013, Finally! Last year was a trying year and this year is full of crazy and unexpected things! I have come up with a few resolutions and a few things I want to do this year.
1. I want to be less stressed and start enjoying the little things in life. I feel like Im making myself grow up too quick.
2. I want to take more photos and post more blog posts and to get my blogging better. I feel like I can learn so much more. My challenge to myself is a photo a day. It could be of anything, using different technique's. You should join me! Tell me about your challenge.
3. Let things interest me more. The world is really fascinating.
Those are just a few of them. And some unexpected things for this year 1. moving again, but to a completely different state. Massachusetts. Boston, at that. I am very excited about it. Talk about starting a whole new chapter of my life. Ive never lived outside this town, or out of driving distance to my parents house. That will be all behind me and just the life of the love of my life's and out journey. The start of a marvelous adventure.
Hope your having a Happy New Year!
