Pregnancy Update // 37 Weeks 4 Days

No more toes, well they've been gone since about 18 weeks, but this was a very impossible task to even try to get them involved (which I finally got a pedicure, which was all kinds of lovely).
My belly is now measuring about 53" around. That's crazy. And last week when I got a sonogram while I was in the hospital they said he weighed about 6 lbs 1 ounce give or take 14 ounces. Now, that's crazy.
An accidental photo, but I love it for some reason.

I never thought that I would complain so much during my pregnancy, but a few weeks back I had reached the point of complete uncomfortable-ness. Or so I thought. But, since I got out of the hospital last week I have been having steady contractions that are anywhere from 4 to 6 minutes apart, but are completely bearable and the doctor isn't concerned about. I've done everything that the old wives tales say to do to make them get stronger. It  works for maybe 30 minutes and then it goes back to normal. It is driving me batty. I want to meet this little man, so incredibly bad. I also want to be a bit more comfortable, especially since I am having such a hard time. Laying on the floor is an impossible task, sitting too long hurts and the thought of standing makes my feet swell. But, on the plus side, since he has dropped I am able to eat more comfortably and breathe easier, which is an A plus in my book.

A lot of times, they say babies aren't as active toward the end of the pregnancy because they have run out of room, well, my son decided that that was the perfect opportunity to roll around and kick and have a party. Needless to say, he is more active now then he was before. And I absolutely love it. I know I will miss the belly a little bit, but I will really miss his movements that love to keep me up at night.

I hear motherhood is delightful and I am really looking forward to it. I know my mom is too, especially since she texts me 2 to 3 times a day asking how I'm doing. I love it.

What I Wore // Christmas Eve

Top: Sears Maternity; Pants: Cotton On (Non Maternity); B-band from Target

I've been having a very hard time being comfortable. Waddling around with a big ole stomach in my way had been more than discomforting at this point, but I am trying as hard as I can to enjoy it. Being 35 weeks plus and my little man is starting to drop, slowly but surely. I've also been having at least 2 or 3 contractions an hour and they've been pretty consistent, so I've been trying my hardest to just relax and enjoy my stomach while I can.

I've also been battling a pretty intense cold, so I'm hoping that that will go away soon.

All in all, I am ready for my little man to be here, once he bakes a few more weeks. I can't wait to share about his arrival and my struggle through the beginning of motherhood (:

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

32 Weeks // 8 Months

Dear womb-dweller, I am very much looking forward to your arrival. The doctors think that you will end up coming sooner than expected because you are getting large, very quick. At my last appointment they said that you were measuring at 34 weeks instead of 31; it's been a week since then and I know you are still growing and growing. I am looking forward to what they have to say on December 12th. I love feeling you kick and move, especially since you are becoming more responsive to my touches and movements. I just wish you would share your wonderful movements with other people more.

I am definitely content with you staying in here for another month or so, just be careful how much weight you gain little man. We have the baby shower coming up this weekend and I am very much looking forward to getting the rest of what we need for you. There are a lot of people that love me and now you and they'll be showing their love this weekend. I'm excited to spend much needed time with friends and family. Then, I'll come home and crazy organize and probably wear myself out beyond belief..that's normally how it happens. I'm just very excited, anxious and nervous for your arrival. It is just around the corner. But, I can't wait to hold you in my arms. I love you Alexander, and I can not wait to meet you.

31 Weeks

I've been extremely fortunate this pregnancy to not have too many crazy symptoms. I am extremely happy that we made it this far and only hope to make it all the way to the end of this pregnancy complication free. I love this little boy inside of me, his kicks and movements. As I write this, he is kicking me in the ribs reminding me that soon I will be growing more to give him some room. Pregnancy is an absolutely beautiful thing and the gift of life is even more wonderful. I'm very excited is for his arrival (:

26 Weeks // It's Been a While

It's been a while since I've updated about my pregnancy on here and I am now 26 weeks! I've been a bit busy and haven't been able to take pictures or document any kind of outfit that I have chosen to wear (that I actually like), which I am kind of bummed about, but I plan to do better the rest of my pregnancy.

It's been a bit harder for me lately to feel comfortable laying down, bending over, in clothes, out of clothes, sitting down, standing up. You know, the whole nine yards. But, I am embracing it as much as I can. I'm taking advantage of Cody helping me up and having him do things for me, it is quite nice.

This past week, I had a bit of a scare and ended up going to the hospital. I had originally gone in to the doctor because I haven't felt Alexander move for quite a while (way longer than the recommended time). So, I got checked out and he was fine, but they tested me to see if my water had broke and all the tests that they did at the office were inconclusive and I had to go to the hospital. Once there, I got all hooked up and it was the neatest thing. I could see my Braxton Hicks contractions and I could monitor his heart rate, which was amazingly reassuring. The test came back negative, which was a relief. But, I was glad I did get checked as a just in case. Oh, and once I got home, he was kicking up a storm, as usual.

It's hard to remember that pregnancy is beautiful and that I am beautiful. No matter my stretch marks, weight gain, cellulite and weird bouts of pregnancy stuff. Ladies, we are strong and beautiful for what our bodies go through. Men, thank you for being there when we need help getting up and all our weird cravings in the middle of the night.

I love my man for all that he has given me support wise. Last night we enthused ourselves by going out to Biktoberfest, which is HUGE in Daytona. So, we headed out to the Boardwalk/Main Street area and walked around for a few hours. It was nice, only in the aspect of I walked for at least 2 miles and stood and got my exercise. Bikers are obnoxious and definitely have a good time with what they do, but for me, it is a little crazy.

Here is a picture of our lovely kitty, Cat or Jazz or whatever we feel like calling him at the moment. He likes it when I take pictures of him and belly rubs.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Our Little Announcement!

We are having a BABY!

A tiny little bundle of joy, and we couldn't be happier!

I am due in January and I am in the 12th week. I have been very fortunate in the first trimester: no vomiting or nausea, just being extremely tired and extreme headaches. And I am grateful for those things.

I don't have any belly photos as of right now, but in the next week or so, I will post some (I have finally "popped"). I still have to decide to do weekly or just monthly updates, it depends. But, we are overly excited!

Also, I'm taking a poll of what people thing the gender is going to be, leave it in the comments and I'll definitely include your vote!
