Where Did the Weekend Go

 1. Sun in the window // 2. Christmas tree lights.

I feel like time is just flying by. Just a blink of my eyes and the weekend is gone. My lovely weekend started right about Friday afternoon and I took it slow and relaxed. I have been having a very hard time coping with how tired I have been getting and not being able to sleep, which causes me to be extremely unmotivated - not a good sign. How did any of you cope with pregnancy tiredness? I've been trying to get a jump on things, but I just can't. I do push myself to do things, and luckily I did get a bit done this weekend, but it just feels like the chore list is never ending (of course!).

Cody and I have been watching the show called Portlandia on Netflix and I absolutely love it. It's pretty much just overly dramatic skits about the people in Portland. It definitely makes me laugh and I love that.

Then, on Saturday was my baby shower... man, was that day full of people and talking and stuff! It was fantastic! I haven't been around that many people in a while and it made me very much appreciate the people that love me, Cody and Alexander and are very willing to spend there time and money to give us things. We ended up getting everything we needed and then some, which was truly such a blessing. Once I got home, I attempted to start organizing a few things, but I was overly exhausted and went to bed at 8 o'clock with achey hips. I slept for 15 hours that night and woke up and started organizing things until I went shopping with my mom and grandma. Now, let me tell you, that wasn't a good idea. When these ladies shop, they shop. I, again over exerted myself, but it was truly lovely to spend the afternoon with them. That night, I couldn't sleep very well, so I finished organizing as much as I could and was actually able to get it all done. It was fantastic.

Also, this weekend I decided to give myself a mini goal.. I need to take more photos. More photos out and about, lifestyle photos.. anything. I need to take more and better my "phototgraphy" skills. I love taking photos, but sometimes I get so distracted that I just don't do it. I don't like that.

How was your weekend?

26 Weeks // It's Been a While

It's been a while since I've updated about my pregnancy on here and I am now 26 weeks! I've been a bit busy and haven't been able to take pictures or document any kind of outfit that I have chosen to wear (that I actually like), which I am kind of bummed about, but I plan to do better the rest of my pregnancy.

It's been a bit harder for me lately to feel comfortable laying down, bending over, in clothes, out of clothes, sitting down, standing up. You know, the whole nine yards. But, I am embracing it as much as I can. I'm taking advantage of Cody helping me up and having him do things for me, it is quite nice.

This past week, I had a bit of a scare and ended up going to the hospital. I had originally gone in to the doctor because I haven't felt Alexander move for quite a while (way longer than the recommended time). So, I got checked out and he was fine, but they tested me to see if my water had broke and all the tests that they did at the office were inconclusive and I had to go to the hospital. Once there, I got all hooked up and it was the neatest thing. I could see my Braxton Hicks contractions and I could monitor his heart rate, which was amazingly reassuring. The test came back negative, which was a relief. But, I was glad I did get checked as a just in case. Oh, and once I got home, he was kicking up a storm, as usual.

It's hard to remember that pregnancy is beautiful and that I am beautiful. No matter my stretch marks, weight gain, cellulite and weird bouts of pregnancy stuff. Ladies, we are strong and beautiful for what our bodies go through. Men, thank you for being there when we need help getting up and all our weird cravings in the middle of the night.

I love my man for all that he has given me support wise. Last night we enthused ourselves by going out to Biktoberfest, which is HUGE in Daytona. So, we headed out to the Boardwalk/Main Street area and walked around for a few hours. It was nice, only in the aspect of I walked for at least 2 miles and stood and got my exercise. Bikers are obnoxious and definitely have a good time with what they do, but for me, it is a little crazy.

Here is a picture of our lovely kitty, Cat or Jazz or whatever we feel like calling him at the moment. He likes it when I take pictures of him and belly rubs.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Sunny Days // Weekend Events

This weekend has been full of open houses and rental searches. Getting down to the final straw can be pretty difficult. Sorry, if I haven't been updating very much. I will get better at it.

Anyways, I've been exercising as much as I can, and trying to eat healthy. I don't know if you have heard of Naked juice, but I use there juices to put in my Herbalife shakes so that I get a full meal plus either fruits or vegetables. I enjoy it very much. I'll be adding some shake recipes soon.

Cleaning can be such a pain, but I have been working my butt off these past few weeks to keep the house as nice as possible for showings. It is quite a challenge, but my other half is so sweet in trying to help. I adore him for it.
I love this shirt. It's one of the tighter on top and then creases out (kind of like a mini dress). It's perfect when I want to hide a little bit of belly, to be honest.
Hope you had a great weekend!
