Mika's 7 months old!

Mika is 7 months old:
Weight: 40 lbs
Height: 20 inches
Favorite toy: Bone/us
Favorite human food: bananas with peanut butter
Sleeps all the way through the night (finally).
Still sleeps the majority of the day, but when she is awake is very energetic.

She is seriously the most spoiled dog. But, she is totally worth it, to me. She is our child. We take her everywhere with us. Actually, that's why we got her certified to be a service dog (her vests come in the mail over the next week or two), so we can take her everywhere.

Ok, so a story about the bananas and peanut butter: She used to just gobble up bananas and go crazy about them. Then, one day I was having bananas and peanut butter as a snack and I gave her a small piece with some peanut butter and she gobbled it right up. Later that day, Cody was eating a banana and he tried to give her some. Understand, we can never eat bananas without giving her some because she gets mad at us and is spiteful the rest of the day. As I said, spoiled. Anyways, she turned her head at him and came to me because she knows I'll put peanut butter on it. She is spoiled.

Have a fantastic day! I've got to go spoil her some more.

Currently...

... I am Starbucks using the Internet and drinking some Green Tea. I'm working and relaxing, mainly relaxing and it feels great. I'm pretty exhausted, but that is kind of expected after a very long day of moving. And on top of that, I haven't been eating the best the past few days (pizza, pizza, pizza!), but that's ok, I'll be right back on track tomorrow.
Moving is hard. But, very rewarding when it's all done. I'm ready for that part. Ready to share some photos and to get some plants and neat things for the apartment. I enjoy apartment living, a lot.

I think I'm going to start training for a 5k. Or retraining myself. I need to get back into the groove of running, it's been kind of challenging. It's not so easy to just stop and then restart again. If it was, that'd be awesome. But it's not.

Have a fun filled weekend!

Here are a few pictures of my trip to Europe; Enjoy!

We Have a Place to Live!!

I'm very excited to announce that we have found a place to live! We are in the process of moving, but I did take some before we moved in pictures, so I will be able to share what it looks like before and through the process of making it our home! I'll share the photos tomorrow!

Some details about the apartment: It's a one bedroom, one bath apartment with a cute little porch. It's absolutely perfect for Cody, me and Mika. I've been busy, but I thank you for being patient with me!

BRB

I'm apologetic that I haven't been around very much this past week, but we are in the process of moving and I have been kept extremely busy. Don't worry, I'll be back. In a week or so! I'll update it you on our new place and our new discovery on our new town we will be occupying. Few updates, my house is a wreck and I'm ready to be settled in our new apartment, it's going to be fantastic. I love exploring new places!
Have a fantastic weekend and week!

Plants

I don't have much of a green thumb, so I am trying with a few plants. They'll probably die by the time we move, but that's okay because I'll just keep trying. One day I'll succeed.
 Pineapple top
 I don't really know, just a plant I guess.
Because boredom causes me to want to paint things. Tons of things.
My desk/dining room table.

Right now our house is starting to feel less like a home and more like a foreign place. Everything is getting packed and put away and it doesn't feel right, but it is happening.

We are very excited for the adventure!

Lazy Days // Leo Kitty

He isn't much of a model. 1) Because he is never home except to eat, sadly. 2) He always sleeps when he is home. So, most of my photos of him are of him sleeping. Animals are very complicated to photograph, but that's part of what I enjoy about it. It's a challenge.

He really enjoys the warmth, but HATES being in the sun when he lays down. It's interesting, but cute.

I love when I come home and he is waiting for us, he waits in the same spot and almost always in the same position.
He really is the best cat and actually made me start liking them, unfortunately, they aren't all as awesome as he is. And, unfortunately I'm allergic to cats in general when they get up in my face and that's his favorite place to go when he lays on me.

He is a cool cat.

Also, update: we had a signing day change, it's this next Friday! Exciting!

What I Wore // Stripes

These are all practically selfies, well, they are all selfies. I don't have anyone to help me out with taking photos and I don't have a tripod, but I will get one soon so the photos are better. Anyways, that's beside the point. I want to announce something: We finally have a closing date!

May 24, 2013

So, I am swiftly working away to pack everything so we can get moving. We're excited. We are waiting on our application to be confirmed at a house that is actually cute. I'm so ready to move. I've had half the house packed for a month or so.

So, I'm not normally brave when it comes to shirts like this only because I'm still losing weight and its taken me a little bit to be confident. Weight loss is a fantastic change and it really is a peace of mind. I must say I'm happy.

Pops of colors are my favorite thing. If I wear all black and white (my shoes were black too) I add a pop of color. And I was feeling green.

I have some fantastic workouts I found out and they work you very well. I'll share them soon.

Have a fantastic rest of the week!

Frozen Strawberries and Greek Yogurt // Healthy Treat

Changing your lifestyle habits can be challenging and it is necessary to find inspiration and motivation anywhere you can. Thank you Pinterest for giving me this idea! It's the perfect hot day treat or even a nice evening dessert.

Ok, so simple. Get some strawberries, fresh or frozen (cut them or leave them whole) and some Greek yogurt, or whatever yogurt you feel like using...
Dip and freeze. Simple as that.
A bit later, they come out frozen (obviously) and the best thing to do is let them sit for about 5 minutes so you aren't fighting them to come off the plate.
And eat. It's delish. It'll be one of my favorite desserts for sure.

Also, if you want to dress them up for dessert you can melt some chocolate and drizzle it on top. Right now, I'm on the strict no eating sweets part of change, so I didn't. But, if you do, let me know how it tastes!

Sunny Days // Weekend Events

This weekend has been full of open houses and rental searches. Getting down to the final straw can be pretty difficult. Sorry, if I haven't been updating very much. I will get better at it.

Anyways, I've been exercising as much as I can, and trying to eat healthy. I don't know if you have heard of Naked juice, but I use there juices to put in my Herbalife shakes so that I get a full meal plus either fruits or vegetables. I enjoy it very much. I'll be adding some shake recipes soon.

Cleaning can be such a pain, but I have been working my butt off these past few weeks to keep the house as nice as possible for showings. It is quite a challenge, but my other half is so sweet in trying to help. I adore him for it.
I love this shirt. It's one of the tighter on top and then creases out (kind of like a mini dress). It's perfect when I want to hide a little bit of belly, to be honest.
Hope you had a great weekend!

Nike Free Cat Door Commercial

I just enjoy this video very much. The cats face is priceless.

Mika's Friend // Lizard Visits

The other day, I was cleaning up in the house when I noticed Mika was on the front porch howling and super interested in this little creature.

It was a tailless lizard. She was way too interested in it, it was so cute.

There has been random sunny days, but mostly rainy days. This is what Florida does. Normally it's April Showers bring May flowers, but here it's been rainy the last week of April and so far into May. It keeps me inside and forces me to get stuff done, but it gives me cabin fever. It seriously takes me a day to have cabin fever. I can't stand it sometimes.

Tea of the Month // Kava Stress Relief Tea

I absolutely love this tea, everything about it except the smell. I'm very touch and go with smells and the tea bag itself bothers me. But, when I drink it, I absolutely love the taste of it. Kind of a weird mix.

Normally I drink this before I get into a yoga session and help use it for my daily relaxation. I truly enjoy it.

Have you ever tried this tea before?
