Cozy Kitty Cat // Update

My cat seems to be one of the most annoying creatures most of the time. I say that in over exaggeration, because I adore him when he isn't being sweet. I've probably been super irritable lately because I am 39 weeks pregnant with a crazy little boy that keeps doing summersaults in my tummy that I am just ready to meet. I've had some crazy pains and almost labor that just hasn't worked in my favor. It's depressing at times, but there isn't much I can do about it, obviously. I have a doctors appointment in the morning, so we will see what they say. ANYWAYS, kitty cat has been following me around everywhere and trying to cuddle all of the time and sometimes it drives me crazy because the last thing I want is more on my stomach, but I understand he is trying to be sweet. I love him for that. Being just shy of a year old he still is a crazy cat that is the size of a 6 month old kitten.. it's adorable.

That's my sporadic update. Sorry if it is spacey, I haven't had a lot of time on my hands and I haven't been feeling well. I'll give a proper update soon.

My Pets

My pets are, in all honesty, my best friends. They love me just as much if not more than I love them. They are dependent on me and they know that. We've grown into such a routine. I wake up in the morning and take them out to potty, come in and feed and water them. Then, I get ready for the day and take them out again before I leave. They truly are wonderful and hairy and all things in between. Sometimes I feel crazy having 3 animals in a one bedroom apartment with a kid on the way, BUT it wont be like this forever. And I absolutely love these animals with all my heart. I used to think that I wouldn't ever care to have animals, but then I met these guys. Mika, the one in the top picture, is a shepherd/husky mix and she is by far the spunkiest dog in the world. Very protective of me, but not in a barky aggressive manor. Jazz, a.k.a Cat, annoys me beyond belief at times, but if I walk by he will lay on his back for a belly rub. I love that. He can be a pain when he decides to knock down the ornaments and candy canes in his reach on the tree. Now, its only half decorated because of him. Julius is a sweet cuddle bear. He hates cuddling, but when he is in the right mood it's perfect. Animals are work and I'm hoping that they will do very well with Alexander on the way. I'm taking the proper precautions with them when it comes to introducing them, but I'm just anxious.

Some steps that 'experts' say to take are:
1. Get a blanket with the baby's scent on it and take it home to them and have them smell it.
2. Do a gradual meet. While you are holding the baby and our partner has control of the animal, let them sniff the baby.
3. Keep an eye on them and never leave them alone together. There could always be a bad moment, even if the dog doesn't show any aggression.

I have faith in my pups, Mika is very loving. Too loving. She has also been very affectionate to my bump, so maybe she will do well with him. Obviously I will share all about it. I'm very excited.

Also, tomorrow I am 33 weeks and it is my baby shower. Definitely excited.

27 Weeks // Third Trimester

It is finally nearing the end; I am in the last stretch of this pregnancy and I couldn't be more excited. I am ready to get this lovely baby out of me. Although, he still has a while to still cook and be the healthiest he can be.

I'm feeling him move all the time now, and I absolutely love it. It is one of the most peaceful feelings when I worry about him. I have been struggling with my belly being in the way of everything now. Especially when I cook, do the dishes, sit at a desk or even in a booth at a restaurant. It is kind of annoying, but I'm trying to enjoy it because I know I will miss this belly when it's gone (come on, it's a reason to eat and not have to have a flat tummy).

This weekend has been kind of entertaining; I did a breast cancer walk and cleaned. I've been needing to organize more and more before I get all the baby stuff from my shower, so I spent some time doing that and I am no where near done. Being in a one bedroom is kind of annoying, but I know it wont be forever, fortunately. But, I've been doing as much as I can to get things to super space saver worthy status. It's kind of hard when you work with a budget, but extremely plausible. I'll be sharing some of what I do on here, eventually. Oh, and this headband I made out of some leftover fabric, and it's the perfect fall piece.

26 Weeks // It's Been a While

It's been a while since I've updated about my pregnancy on here and I am now 26 weeks! I've been a bit busy and haven't been able to take pictures or document any kind of outfit that I have chosen to wear (that I actually like), which I am kind of bummed about, but I plan to do better the rest of my pregnancy.

It's been a bit harder for me lately to feel comfortable laying down, bending over, in clothes, out of clothes, sitting down, standing up. You know, the whole nine yards. But, I am embracing it as much as I can. I'm taking advantage of Cody helping me up and having him do things for me, it is quite nice.

This past week, I had a bit of a scare and ended up going to the hospital. I had originally gone in to the doctor because I haven't felt Alexander move for quite a while (way longer than the recommended time). So, I got checked out and he was fine, but they tested me to see if my water had broke and all the tests that they did at the office were inconclusive and I had to go to the hospital. Once there, I got all hooked up and it was the neatest thing. I could see my Braxton Hicks contractions and I could monitor his heart rate, which was amazingly reassuring. The test came back negative, which was a relief. But, I was glad I did get checked as a just in case. Oh, and once I got home, he was kicking up a storm, as usual.

It's hard to remember that pregnancy is beautiful and that I am beautiful. No matter my stretch marks, weight gain, cellulite and weird bouts of pregnancy stuff. Ladies, we are strong and beautiful for what our bodies go through. Men, thank you for being there when we need help getting up and all our weird cravings in the middle of the night.

I love my man for all that he has given me support wise. Last night we enthused ourselves by going out to Biktoberfest, which is HUGE in Daytona. So, we headed out to the Boardwalk/Main Street area and walked around for a few hours. It was nice, only in the aspect of I walked for at least 2 miles and stood and got my exercise. Bikers are obnoxious and definitely have a good time with what they do, but for me, it is a little crazy.

Here is a picture of our lovely kitty, Cat or Jazz or whatever we feel like calling him at the moment. He likes it when I take pictures of him and belly rubs.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Sunday // Relaxed

Today is: relaxed.

We woke up when we felt like it, had our lovely breakfast shake, I did some yoga, showered and now finishing some house chores.

It's spring cleaning time. And that, we did.

Have you ever had a sense of accomplishment that when you go to sleep, you know you worked hard. Yeah, that's how I felt last night. I woke up this morning refreshed and ready to get at it again.

It's super gorgeous today and I really want to take the dogs to the dog park, but finishing is top priority because we have a house showing on Monday. Oh, and by the way, the house selling process is not my favorite. At all. Once this process is done, I'll share a lot more on it with you. Like how to make your house look when it's time to put it on the market, what to do once you sell and simple packing tips. Things I wish I knew when I first started all of this.

I hope your Sunday is going well! Have a great rest of the weekend.

We're Home!

I always love going on road trips. Well, normally when I don't have to drive and I have something to do. I get bored extremely easily, so I have to keep myself entertained. Whether its on Instagram, thinking of blog posts, listing to music, or reading; I have to keep myself entertained or I become extremely annoying. I can't even sleep in the car, so I get quite restless.
Anyways, here are some photos from our trip.
After Leo's accident, he slept a lot. And Cody's mom has these lovely lace curtains, they were his favorite thing to lay in. It was adorable.
On the car ride there, he layed under Cody's seat. Such a chicken.
She just slept and then woke up when we stopped to pee, then slept some more.
The sun was absolutely gorgeous there. And this cute little plant holder was given to her by her mom (who we call MawMaw). It's absolutely adorable, I want something like that for my plants, but I want it inside. It'd be the perfect entry accent piece.

Oh, just a case of cactus gone wild.
 Favorite chocolate #1.
 Favorite chocolate #2
Leo buddy finally healing after his accident; he had me so worried.
There is an adorable cupcake place called, Cupcake By the Sea and it was delicious. I had to, of course, have the Red Velvet one. Maybe when we go back next week, I'll have to try another.
The trip was splendid. Now, we are home for the weekend before we leave again this Monday. We, also, have my sister-in-law with us this weekend. I love being around family so much! How was your week? What'd you do?

Sundays

Today has been lax...

Edamame is my new favorite snack. I put too much salt on them, put I love it that way. One of my good friends in high school got me hooked putting salt on a lot of different things.
I can't stand how big she is getting! Today, we went to the dog park. She wore herself out ridiculously. Kept running and wrestling, I love that about her. I want to take her there more.
Always desiring the sun. He is the best cat ever. Seriously. I love him.

Hope your Sunday was great! This week we are going out of town to Cody's mom's house. I'm super excited about it.

Little Things...

I enjoy taking random snapshots throughout the day.

Here's some from yesterday:
We have an aspiring maple tree in our front yard. He is just a baby, but is already taller than the house, thinner than average, though.
I wish I could've captured the steam coming from that little hole. I've been experimenting with beans lately. I've bought a bag of dried beans and I either have to boil them or let them soak overnight.
My first time having chai tea. Surprisingly. I still don't know if I liked it. I guess that means I need to try it a few more times.
The sun going down while I was walking Mika yesterday. I really love this photo.
Begging, as always. We have spoiled him, horribly.
 Stepping stones and shadows.
Love.

Have a fantastic Saturday! What are you up to this weekend?
